We got married here a year ago today, and absolutely adore Florida House Inn! We are back again to celebrate our Anniversary and we absolutely love the charm and character the Inn has to offer. Julie is always amazing and welcoming. Highly recommend, especially if you appreciate live music, as Green Turtle next door always has greats bands playing. We'll be back!

The Inn itself is very quaint and beautiful and has a great front porch. We stayed in room 15 and it was set up like a log cabin and it was very cute. The internet though was really bad. Could not stay on it for more than 5-10 minutes and it would kick you off. There was a misunderstanding with the breakfast the first morning and so we ended up going to a local place instead but was pleasantly surprised with the breakfast the second morning. Very good with made to order eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and they had great coffee, yogurt, berries, breads and OJ. You cannot beat the location and everything in the old district is within walking distance. Don't miss the cute little historic museum when the docent is giving the lecture.

Florida House Inn was a very unique place to stay. The old architecture had so much character. Our room was nice and was situated on the second floor above the back garden/patio area. The manager (owner?) was super kind and made sure we had everything we needed. The Mermaid bar and Leddy's Porch restaurant were convieniently located right downstairs which was nice for brunch. One thing to note, the Green Turtle bar next door has live music most evenings. (Nice place to hang out too.) However, they shut the music down at 11pm each night so the noise was not a problem for us.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My stay at the Florida House Inn in historic Fernandina Beach was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine Southern hospitality and warm smiles. The inn is full of charm and history, perfectly located for exploring historic downtown Fernandina’s shops, restaurants, and waterfront. A huge shout out to Julie and Emily—they went above and beyond to make my stay special. Their kindness, helpfulness, and attention to detail made me feel completely at home. And I can’t forget the inn’s sweet, friendly kitty cats, who added an extra dose of warmth and charm—what a delightful touch! I truly loved every minute of my visit and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend the Florida House Inn for anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming, and unforgettable stay in Amelia Island!

The closes you can get to feeling like you are a local living in the historic district! The history of this building and the location are a perfect match for a very warm and welcoming experience all the way around. The Manager was very friendly, and I really enjoyed chatting with her. We would love to come back here again! There are two balconies one on the front and one on the back, and they are large and offer the perfect view of the surrounding historic district. I wish we could go back again and stay another night tonight!

We stayed 3 nights. Great location right in the middle of everything. Bed was super comfy and the room was spacious. It is an older location, so the rooms were a bit uneven towards the center where the bathroom meets the bedroom. The 2 person tub was huge. The room was generally clean, but some out of the way corners had some webs and even spiders/bugs. Directly outside the room was just dirty, and it was evident it had been that way a while from the tracks from moving chairs around. I will still go back my next time to Fernandina.
